So when I first decided I wanted a Leopard gecko it was because they look awesome and I heard they were very hand tamed. I already have a "Pretty boy" Goldie to look at so am looking for geckos I can interact with. Well I got my crestie and she is adorable. Then last week I got my leo.

So last night I had her out, getting to know her and she was sitting in my hand so I started to rub her back, well darned if she didn't arch up into the rub....LOL....it was so cute..... then I rubbed behind her head and the head slowly tilted a bit to give me better access and her eyes closed...awwwwww.

It was at that moment I fell in love....LOL.

That's so cool! Leopard geckos can be relatively friendly, but I've never heard of one who arched its back for a back rub! Mine loves to be held but hates to be petted. What is its name?

I thought I was imagining things but she did it several times...... lol

All of my leo's do the same thing! If you lightly rub right in the middle of their backs they rub right back. It's like they need a back scratch! My yoshi will also let me rub under his chin and under his tail! For some reason, when I rub under the tip of his tail he goes right to sleep. It's one of the cutest things in the world!

Kelly it was just such a sweet bonus. I can already tell how much I am going to enjoy having a leo.

Ive seen geckos arch their back, it is cute. One of my geckos loves to held, and he falls asleep when i pet him also*. They are so adorable, they remind me of dogs..each has their own personality. Glad your loving your gecko.
