Can you judge the sex of the baby by how many days it took the egg to hatch? Without knowing the temps of the egg? 43 day incubation ?

You really can't, unless you are at the extreme spectrums. Say your egg hatched on day 32, I would say that's probably a male. Or your egg hatched at day 50, that would probably be a female. But that's all a guesstimate. You at 43 could be either male or female, as you are right in the middle of it.

my home made incubator was very erratic at first.and really not stable
