Personality in Leo's?
My Leo Zeus has such a personality ! He recognises me, which is good even before I open the viv to speak to him, he walks up right to the glass doors, says hello and climbs on to my arm and just walks about my shoulders as I do random stuff. I had to help him shed the other day, he couldn't get it of his nose and eyes so I took him out soaked him a bit and pulled it of gently, he just sat there, was a wee bit annoyed and shouted but he just gave up and im almost positive that he gave me a dirty look. He gets very jealous when I socialise him with the girls, any time I go to lift them he walks over and just walks up my arm ! And they're like ehh I was walking there. I can see the girls personalities coming through also, they haven't fully settled in.
People say reptiles don't have personalities, I beg to differ.
Anyone have any stories to share?

My gecko Nig he is very fat and he is very personalized. I can see his different moods when he is happy or angry and he will react to nice voices and angry voices. It is very interesting to watch his thoughts.

I have also seen my gecko´s personalities, although I doubt they could really recognize somebody, my geckos always come out towards me when they see me but I think it´s because I am the ¨gigant monster that delivers food¨ and they have learned that, some of my girls like to be out of the tank, they walk around, and explore, while others get scared to be out, so I leave them in their space, they definittively have different personalities, haviing a bunch of them I can easily tell which is which because of the way the act, one of my boys (I call him Mr Bird) eats being in my hand, I mean, he climbs in my fingers (just like the way you would hold a parrot), and with my other hand I offer mealworms and he takes them and eats right in my hand.... some others just eat while inside their tanks, they are very very interesting to watch, I work from home, my bedroom is my office, and I get to watch them a lot

My old leo gizmo used to stick his head out of his hide when i came into the room or he heard me talking. He would sit on my shoulder and cuddle up to my neck for warmth He was also incredibly fiesty with anyone except me haha and had quite the attitude sometimes

I can definately see the difference in my two girls. One is laid back relaxed easy going....the baby girl is a feisty one...hehehe...... very curious too. Here's a weird one, ever heard of the mewing? Syrena did last night.....she was snuggled up under by sweater on my shoulder having some bonding time and all of a sudden I hear this tiny mew...... it was so cute. LOL

Geckos definitely have personalities. They have different preferences and different tendencies. It's awesome when you have several different leo's and see how different each and every one is

I see different personalities in my geckos for sure, although a lot of their reactions comes from basic instinct. So different personalities, yes. Smart & intelligent? Not quite
The sunglow male in my avatar pic will look straight up at me when I open his tank, and he'll climb to the highest point waiting for me to lower my hand down, and he'll climb right up. Then he would just lay in the palm of my hand for up to 20 minutes or so. I play a game where I see whether my arm gets sore for staying in the same position first or if he moves first. He wins that game almost every time.
Most of my other geckos will walk around when I hold them.

I've got over twenty and they all have different personalities, Bowser my big male bashes on the glass until I take him out. A few of mine know their names and I can call them in different orders to prove it, (people think it's really funny). Pookie hates being picked up but is the first to climb up my arm if her vivarium is open, followed by Princess who also doesn't like being picked up - very strange. Goomba is a real softy and loves snuggling down on me. I could go on but don't want to bore you all. I love all my Leopard Geckos and my life would be so much duller without them.

I've had Powder (male Blizzard) for only two weeks and I can tell you without a doubt that they have personalities that "emerge" slowly.
He'
s very affectionate and much more friendly and curious about people than most other leos I've seen around 6 months (which is cool). He likes stimulation and will go up to the glass if he wants to be "baby talked to" lol. He eyes my dog like one day he'll eat her when he grows up (he's far above and beyond her reach, but he can see her).
That's a lot of personality to emerge in two weeks! Definitely a big YES for personalities IMHO.
