So our Big boy just died the other day, we went and got 2 baby geckos and everything is fine just had a question..

what is with the snapping at us, like trying to bite and making a barking sound, I get thats its like they dont like it, but our other one never did that.. we still can pick them up but when we put our hands in there, they will sometimes try to snap at us, it doesnt hurt, just makes us jump sometimes lol.. Is all that normal? will it change?

That's what babies do to protect themselves and it will change as they get older. I remember getting a pretty young baby years ago at a pet store and it kept biting the salesperson as he tried to get him out of the cage.

Sounds pretty normal to me. However, I would leave them alone for a week or two while they adjust to their new home. Then start handling slowly.

leave them alone the frist week or so, you donīt want him to lose his tail out of stress, that is absolutely normal baby behaviour, you shouldnīt put your hand in there, one good thing is that it shows that the baby is probably healthy!!
If your other gecko died maybe he was old and thatīs why his behaviour was so different, it starts to change in a few weeks, and when they are about 1 year old the are pretty calmed (Usually), sometimes even as soon as 6 months, but it depends on the individual, some never get used to be handled but he definitively will stop biting and ĻbarkingĻ at you...

My gecko did the same thing as a baby.

I agree with the others, leave it for a week and then start putting your hand in the tank each evening, so they get used to it, and they won't see it as a threat any longer.

Best of luck
