Question Burmation?

Can Leopard Geckos put themselves through burmation? My leo Zeus usually lies outside his hide mostly in the middle of the tank but also at the hot end and eats quite regularly, temp and everything in the viv are same as usual, May have dropped a degree or two as it is coming into winter and in Ireland winter is winter, weve got frost snow mist everything. HeS stayed on the cool side of the tank for about a week now and wont eat. Could he sense its winter and stopped eating and put himself through burmation? Hes got a big fat tail and everything, normal healthy looking.

Unless your ambient temperature drops too low, they shouldn't brumate. They do however, tend to eat less during winter time when weather is cold. If the ambient temperature drops below 70 on a consistent basis in the tank, you should supplement with a ceramic heat emitter. These ceramic heat lamps will heat up the air temperature a bit, as well as help keep the ground warmer.

The temps haven't dropped, this is going to sound weird but he was huffing ! He finished shedding so I took out his humid hide and put it in for the girls as they were coming into shed and his humid hide is better than theirs and as there are two leos in there I wanted them to have one each, as soon as I took his out I replaced it with a normal one and he sat in it all week and didn't eat. I put it back in an hour ago and offered him food, he ate 9 dubia roaches and 2 mario worms and is sitting in his normal places ! When I bought Zeus they gave me that hide with him as they said he loved it. I known never to take it out again !

Yeah geckos don't take changes very kindly, it seems to cause them stress and they get kinda confused.
