It all depends on the severity of the MBD and how it affects the his daily activities. Due to the involvement in the legs, I'd stick with low level decor so he can't fall and injure himself. If he can get around ok & able to hunt/eat on his own then I'd think if his husbandry is ideal he should be able to live a lot longer than the estimated 6 months; however, if he can't get around very well & has difficulty hunting/eating, then I'd say it's a wait-n-see type of situation. I'm glad that you are willing/able to provide a loving home for him...he may not live as long as a completely healthy Leo would, but he's deserves to have the best quality of life that he can while he's here.
