    No they are literally genetically all the same gecko. Although there have been some reported cases of males developing, all babies are genetically, physically and sexually the same as the mother.

    They're such a cool species. Unfortunately, I only got one, so I didn't get to hear their cool vocalizations.

    I just read a previous thread that you had posted on Mourning Geckos. I picked up 2 hatchlings last week at the Ga Repticon show. I had always wanted to keep them and was thrilled to actually find them. I have them nestled down in a planted terrarium and seem to be doing pretty well so far. Lots of energy and very vocal!
    I wanted to ask you, they say that the mother "clones" herself when the eggs are layed. I understand parthogenesis but I was wanting to ask...are the offspring perfect clones of the mother or should the term "clone" be taken lightly?
