It depends on the animal really. I used to believe it was around 6 months, but some showed extreme blue tints as early as 2-4 months (by 6 months they are usually very happy to show you their blues). You can however usually see the hemipenis buldge at around 4-5 months, followed by dark throats.

If you have access to a camera, you can always send me pics if you are unsure of an animal.
