Unhappy OMG he is shedding!

Thought last night he was a bit quite? not out and about as usual and seen as he was fed the night before I didnt give him any crickets and left him alone. When I got home today I went to check him and noticed he is in him cool cave and has shed his skin! He hasnt come out and I havent disturbed him but is there anything I need to do?? I cant see him just some shedded skin in the entrance to his cave no heat pad on as weather has been mid 30s all week and house is warm. do I need to mist? Withhold food tonight or anything else I should do?? Ive only had him 2 weeks and im worried!

I think you are being overly worried here...

Keep up with your normal routine and it should be fine. (What species are we talking about here by the way? I'm assuming a leopard gecko?) If you were misting once a day before, then keep misting once a day. If tonight is the normal night to feed, feed tonight.

If you get a chance, just take a look at him and make sure that all the skin has been shed properly and that there isn't any still on the toes or tail or anything. If it wasn't shed in it's entirety, then you might have to change your husbandry slightly to help facilitate a clean shed the next time.

I can see the skin from a leg with all the skin from the toes attached and what looks like the tail skin? I have misted as usual and will see if he comes out when lights dimmed? If so I will put a couple of crickets in for him. He is a Milii thanks I can relax a bit now!

Ha ha I hear you...... I sit here all day researching, planning and coming up with ideas....I am about to branch into new territory. I'm going to create some custom backgrounds..... if they work out as planned, they will be soooo cool and my critters should love them.

And next week, I get my U. Sikorae.....I can't wait
