I am looking at two geckos either a golden gecko or a African fat tailed gecko. What do you think i just want some suggestions. Thanks in advance everybody

As usual, it depends on the experience you want. I'm not very familiar with golden geckos but I know they're arboreal and my sense is that they aren't that easy to handle. African fat tails can easily be handled, are slow moving and terrestrial and tend to hide a lot. It may be helpful to google some care sheets for each and decide based on that.

My sister has a golden thats pretty cool. He's almost 8 yo. I haven't had a fat tail yet so I cant compare. Sorry.

I hve an AFT its a beautiful animal whose care is same as the leopard gecko just add more humidity. Irecommend an AFT

I'm definitely not an expert an I am new to GU but my friend who does Herp rescue and rehab. says that the AFT are easier to handle and care for. He also says that if you are not experienced with either, then he would go with the AFT. I'm not familiar myself with their care personally, but both are beautiful when I looked at images of either. What ever you do decide please post photos and good luck!
