Default Should I get a Leopard, African Fat Tail, or Gargoyle Gecko?

LOG IN TO CLOSE THIS AD

This weekend I'm getting a gecko at Repticon. Only I don't know which one to get! They all seem so appealing.

Also an off topic question: Anyone know how to get a song out of your head?

Welcome to GU.., maybe try thinking of another song.

It all depends on what you like the most, AFT's are a little more secretive, as where leo's are more social and friendlier.
Also keep in mind that they need a different husbandry.

If it was up to us we would go AFT, everybody has leo's and the fattails are a bit underrated, but that's yust our opinion.

Never mind the previous, we would go gargoyle all the way... Haha, we didn't see that option but we like it that they are arboreal.

But uhm.., do you have suitable enclosures for any gecko you choose as they al need different conditions?

I'm going to buy the enclosure at Repticon so I will have a suitable enclosure for whatever I pick. And for the geckos, which one do you think takes to handling the best? I would like to handle it some and my older sister will probably take a selfie with it like she does with all my pets.

It is recommended not to handle Gargoyles , Fat Tails or Leo's frequently, it can stress them out, they do not really enjoy it , just tolerate it.

It is good to get them used to handling in case you need to administer medication at some point.

    I see,

In that case, I would say Leo's are the easiest to 'tame'

We do believe you should decide wich animal you want, then buy the enclosure , and then make sure you got everything right such as temperatures, humidity, ... before you buy the gecko.
