    Default Question about UV for a viv


    LOG IN TO CLOSE THIS AD   


    I found this website that has LED grow bulbs. THis ounds weird to be but woul dbe awsome if it works. As anyone else heard of these. There LED, so it would cost alot less to run them and they provide UV.

    Yea It would be awesome if they did work.
    The need for UVA - UVB only applies if your housing day (diurnal sp?) species. Nocturnals don't need it.
    Also about the plants that you use. Lighting reguirements vary from Plant to plant. Some do better with direct sunlight others indirect diffused. Plants don't need UVA - UVB.
    With this type of Light you could highlight a specific plant.
