I keep my chameleons over a deep layer of garden bark (large peices of bark that cannot be ingested) so that I can spray it down and keep the humidity up in the screen enclosure
|
The cham will try to ingest it. It is unknown why.
Plus, high humidity over 70% can cause a URI.

What is the point of setting up a nice looking Naturalistic Viv if you are going to put paper towels in the bottom?
|
Veileds shouldn't have substrate, because they live high in the treetops. They will eat it, like stated.
These have been proven to cause problems. (Eye problems, thermal and/or UV burns.)
