Beautiful enclosures and geckos of course! Are those compact reptile bulbs being used? I've read mixed things about those uvb compact bulbs :s.

I think that a lot of the bad press came from the older versions of the bulbs. There is this website that did testing in 2005 and 2007 with no recent testing.

UV Lighting for Reptiles: Compact Fluorescent Lamps

does anyone have further info on this as I have one canopy with compact bulbs and would like to see what others think about them. Any one find any links to more recent testing?

WOW ... Nice setups!! I love the close up of the White Line next to the egg!

I use Compact Fluorescent bulbs for general lighting on some of my nocturnal reptiles without problems. However I noticed that some of your bulbs look to be INSIDE the enclosures. That would certainly concern me in case one of them broke. It also looks like you've got some sand as substrate in a couple of the enclosures but I don't see any pics of geckos that would need sand as a substrate.

I certainly like the rack system that you've set up. That's my next goal. A nice organized system for my geckos hopefully with a misting system installed.

Dyesub Dave.
