Look through the forums for the phelsuma and rhacodactylus genera.

I hope you find that inspiring.

there are a lot of good threads on here with great tanks and photos but along with searching those heres some links that will make you drool. there mostly dart frog tanks but maybe it will inspire you a little

Vivarium

Nature Exhibit Design and Consultancy - Green Chapter

then when your done looking at the huge one's check out dendroboard.com the parts and construction section they have a lot of nano type vivarium build threads in there. It's kinda hard o plant a tank that size cause most plants will take it over but again there is a lot of good small tank builds that can help with this. Just adjust the tank to the requirements of the gecko for starters it would need to be less wet, if you go with day geckos add bamboo ect. ect.

Have fun

a planted 12x12x18 is going to be pretty small. With a planted vivarium the bottom 4 inches or so will be drainage layer and soil. So you will probably end up with more like 12 x 12 x 14 which will be pretty small for a full grown crested. you might get a very small day gecko in there though.

I agree with a day gecko being better suited for that size.
