LeopardGecko New long vivarium
For about two weeks now my gecko is living in his new home. Wanted to show you guys what I did and how it looks in the end. I'm satisfied with my carving, but a little bit disappointed with color. I wanted it to be dark brown like water dish, I think later I will repaint it.

Very cool leo habitat!
I especially like the floor. Did you use slate?
Is your leo able to climb the background?
Recently heard that just a small bottlecap of plain calcium carbonate is best for the tank 24/7.Click right here:

Hi, I had it as left over from construction at home, cutted it and I think It looks nice, just need later to repaint everything browner, so that it looks nicer.
When I introduced gecko to the new terrarium He climbed everything, background too, now he doesn't climb up there, just hang on top of the hides and sometimes tries to climb the plant
Your advise is that I put in smaller amount of pure calcium? Or just to use smaller dish?

Yes, the floor of the tank looks very professional. Background and hides are nice too.
Wonder why he just climbed the background once?
Both: Use a small bottlecap with not very much pure calcium. If your leo spends more time there licking calcium than just an infrequent lick, there could be husbandry issues.Last edited by Elizabeth Freer; 03-09-2013 at 06:02 AM.

I don't know, maybe at night they are climbing there, because I can hear him being active. They don't do much at daylight, that''s why I only seen him climb up there once.Post Thanks / Like - 0 Thanks, 1 Likes
