Default Shedding Questions (Gargoyle)

So, I got my girl a month ago and this month is her shed (and my first time experiencing it). She looks funny! and the humidity is higher than before (81%)

I have a water-fall AND a waterbowl where she soaks in, but I got two questions.

1. How long does their shedding last?

2. How often do adults shed?

Thanks everyone!

~Britt

The shedding process usually varies from gecko to gecko and if they are shedding during the day or night (sleep time). From the time they are ready to start peeling/taking the shed off it can take from 10 minutes up to about 18 hours, I haven't seen it take longer than that.

How often do they shed, depending on the gecko it is usually every 4-5 weeks...but can happen as often as every 2 weeks if they are in a growing spurt. I have caught most of my geckos when they do shed, but I do have 2 that are were hatched out in July that I have only seen their initial shed and none since; therefore, they have to be super quick and like to shed in private.

Thanks! Yeah, she was a quick shedder. Actually, as soon as I posted this thread I went to check on her and she was already done O_O examined her and no shred of shed was found.

Some can be very quick, I have one that likes to take naps while he is shedding....I'll have to take photos next time.
