Default two new gargs

well boss ordered a batch of gargoyle geckos from Rapashy a couple weeks ago for cheap and let me pick out two a like. any way took a while for them to come in and alot of them where missing tails or were regrowing them witch explains the price. but hay for $25 per gecko i'm willing to live with that. btw this is when thay where stresed out a bit when thay are fired up thay turn a nice red and earthy tones.

first one (stripe)

second one (marble)

and the set up i currently have them in (they each have there own tank but they look the same)

Congrats on the pick ups! Gargs are one of my favourites!

However, I would recommend looking through enclosure sections on different forums as that set up is rather poor. I would suggest adding a number of vines, plants, cork bark, etc to the enclosure to make them feel more secure.

Cheers

edit - here is a picture of one of my numerous enclosures.

Oh sounds good Did not mean to offend or anything, I was just a bit worried. Congrats again! Keep us updated on the colour progression, one of my favourite things about Gargs is how much of a colour change they go through.

I do not mean to be offensive either but there is actually nothing wrong with the setup it is currently in. Most of the biggest rhac breeders do not have the time nor space to set up and maintain display tanks such as the ones we use in our homes for our pleasure. They raise and keep their rhacs in very simple critter keepers and rubbermaids just like that one. As long as it is sprayed, fed, watered, and has somewhere to hide (hence the egg crate), it is actually a setup the gecko can thrive in. Not to mention it is much easier to pay attention to whether the gecko is feeding/defecating or not and whether it is acclimating well. Different setups are used for different reasons.
