Default Henkeli length and behaviour

Hello

I know there is plenty of information like this on the Internet, but they actually differ from each other significantly. I am asking, because I bought Leachianus Henkeli yesterday and I was wondering how long it would be. I heard it also depends on an origin, but I would like to know more or less. Now she is as big as my oldest Ciliatus, but a few months younger.

The additional question- after I had put the gecko int its enclosure, it was very calm, too calm comparing to ciliatus- leachianus is almost completely moveless, haven't probably eaten even a single cricket, but enthusiastically ate some baby food. Shall I be worried or are Leachianus that calm? I must add that it was delivered to me from Hamm. (I am from Poland).

When I first put my leachianus in the terrarium it was also very still. It just takes a while for them to get used to their new environment, and while they are doing this they may reject food. Mine took at least two weeks to accept anything, but it turned out okay in the end! I wouldn't worry about it, just leave it alone and offer food every couple of days to see if it accepts. Make sure to keep it hydrated though!

My lechianus is also very calm, both female and male. That calmness is something totally different that I see at other rhac geckos. When I take lechianus outside they just stick to my hand.
They male that I bought few days ago also eat only fruit, the female which is now 3 years old, at the begining also eats only fruits, it take me something about one year to switch her to insects. Now she is still very choosy and eats only crickets and some larva.

I almost never see mine move. I can be in the room and turn around to look at them and they are still... then I turn around and go do something for a minute. When I turn back around, they may be in a different position altogether. It seems to me that they using their camouflage to not get eaten. It works quite well, since even though my female is about 90g, I often look around for her when she's right in front of me.

Leachianus are shy and secretive. Some or my animals do not move if they think they have not been spotted(FREEZE) but often run to hide soon if I stare at them or if I am doing things in front . All my leachies can be handled without gloves even if I have been bitten on occasion by adult females. They may bite if they are in proximity of a male they do not know and if your hands smell of the animal, or to defend the eggs just laid. When this happens the bite is painful and the bitten hand bleeds!
I have been breeding leachianus of different locals for about 10 years and owned met only one aggressive male it was nasty and eventually I sold it to somebody else. I do not know much about Helkel's because I keep only mainland(R. l.l.)but they are possibly more tolerant of each other. I had incompatible animals biting each other so nastily they would have died if I did not separate them. They normally are more motionless than ciliatus or other Rhacodactylus when handled but eventually still jump away or vocalize to let you know they have enough. Most of my animals do not like people anyway and only 1 of my animals does not mid be stared, most of the time, and he seem to enjoy be handled and out of the vivarium for brief periods. This animal was kept as a pet and handled a lot for years before joining my group
and he is over 6 years old.
