Default E. agricolae vs E. vieillardi

Here are some pictures to show the difference between Eurydactylodes agricolae and Eurydactylodes vieillardi.
They look a lot alike, but there are minor differences.

On the left: E. agricolae
On the right: E. vieillardi

On the top: E. vieillardi
At the bottom: E. agricolae

Left: E. vieillardi.
Right: E. agricolae
As you can see with both animals the mouth has a slit all the way up to the ear, but with E. vieillardi there is a skin fold covering the slit.

Left: E. vieillardi.
Right: E. agricolae
The scales on the head/nose of the E. vieillardi are bigger and not as "messy" as with E. agricolae.

That's an interesting observation. We just checked and we also have one E. vieillardi with a white ring around the eyes.

did you mean you have one agricolae with the white? I have two at home, i've never had vieillardi and this is the first good close up comparison i've seen. I believe mine both have yellow but now i'll check when i get home
I think i actually like the patterning on the agricolae better, but the lighter colors on the vieillardi are nice. I have seen some amazing agricolae with deep oranges in between the scales instead of yellow which looks great.

We mean 1 vieillardi with white, the rest all has yellow eyerings.
The darker ones on the picture are vieillardi and the lighter are agricolae.
They can both go light or dark though, depending if they are fired up or fired down.

EDIT: sorry just noticed i had the last two pictures switched... STUPID ME.....

I keep both, agricolae are my favorite of the two by far.

Nice shots.
