Default a little worried, opinions please :)

well, its been a week, and my first chewie is still flipping out all the time. he has only eaten bugs once, and not sure if he is eating his CGD. He flips out, running around, climbing and trying to get out of the screen top. until now, the previous owner kept him in a tub, im wondering if a zoo med transparent front may be freaking him out cause he is not used to it, anyone agree? not sure what else it could be, the cage is 18 18 24 kept around 73-77 day and 70-72 at night, 50-100% humidity with misting twice a day, mostly at night. any idea why he is panicking so much, he is seriouslly flipping out, total panic thinking im gonna kill him or something, im just a little worried is all. any opinions??????? also, i cover all three sides of my tanks, so only the front is viewable

It can take up to 2 weeks to settle in. I would cover all 4 sides and leave the top closed but uncovered so you are able to peak in on him. After he calms down for a few days, uncover one of the side that doesn't get a lot of movement an let him get use to that for a few days, then repeat with the other side until you are able to uncover the front without him freaking out. Best to start the uncovering process at night time when you go to bed, that way he can get use to the idea without being disturbed. Hope this helps.
