Default best time to move

hi there

im a first time gecko owner. i have had my crestie since beginning of august, he was born in june this year. since ive had him he has been housed in a med/large plastic viv and is thriving, eating well. loves coming out and being handled, i handle him about twice a week, and he love to run up my arms and jump from hand to hand. love him to bits. i have a large glass exo terra viv 45x45x60 which i got told was the right size for a crestie. but i didnt put him in it as he was about 2 1/2 inches when i got him, he is now nearly 6 inches in length. when do you guys think it will be best to move him over the the large viv. i dont want to stress him out, but would love to think he has space to grow and investigate andlive a full and happy like, any ideas

Most people recommend moving to that size around 15grams. However, technically you could move your little one at any time...you just want to make sure it finds it's food. I find my little ones prefer the larger space & actually eat/grow better than being kept in the smaller enclosure as a young juvie. Just monitor your little one really well for the first coupe of weeks to make sure it is eating ok.
