So.... I was supposed to be getting only two gargolye geckos while I was home for the holidays. However, I find myself coming home with three! First of which is the long anticipated Falcor; a pretty high contrast striped girl. Second is one of her sisters Artax; a standard reticulated pretty girl. And third will be Atreyu; another gorgeous red striped girl (from our very own Hannibal) who is getting picked up on the way home tomorrow morning
I'm already going to tell that I'm really going to like this species!
I'll update with pictures of everyone tomorrow night! I'm just elated to finally have one of these cuties; little did I know that it would be three!!

Just packed her up for the trip...we'll see you in about 3 hrs.

Well, I'm back home with the geckos! I snapped a few photos of them as I was putting them into their tanks!
First off is Atreyu. A very pretty red striped girl from our very own Hannibal! She actually seemed the most ticked off from the car ride and immediately jumped onto my hand and then promptly into her tank. However she seemed like the first to settle in and was last seen clinging from the top of her KK. She has the biggest horns I have ever seen! Great little girl!



Next is Falcor. She was a planned pick up as well. She a semi-high contrast striped girl and is super calm! Shes a little bigger than her sister and is adorable! I can't wait to hang out with her more. She does seem to have a slight kink at the very end of her tail (fingers crossed that we can fix it). She was firing down when I finished in the reptile room a few mins ago so I hope she settling down nicely.



Last but not least is Artax. She was unplanned. I was picking up Falcor and was handed a second free gecko that needed a home. So little girl came home with me (I have such a hard time saying no). She's a pretty reticulated girl who has some pretty bold bands across her back. She actually stayed unfired the whole trip and fired up as soon as I put her in her KK. She's the smallest of the three but isn't too far behind.


So needless to say, I think I'm really going to love these guys. Leo's are wonderful and great to have but these little garglettes have just taken a big ole piece of my heart!

They look great Kelly! Atreyu is a sweet girl & doesn't hold a grudge for long; she probably didn't care for the bumpy Indiana/Ohio roads. Watch, your husband will probably warm up to the gargs super quick once he meets those sweet little girls.

Yeah, I have two more coming and that's it. My new years resolution is to not get any more animals. 4 leos, 3 gargs, 1 N levis levis, and 1 Garter snake is about all the lizard room can handle. I forgot the bunnies!! Add 3 bunnies to the mix and we've got a zoo! All I know is that when we go looking at homes come summer time, I'm looking for one with a bigger room I can dedicate to the reptiles!
Update on the new little buggers:
Atreyu has definitely eaten for me- saw lick marks in the bowl when I switched it out for new CGD earlier. She also is quite the artist and has "painted" a perrty CGD picture on one of her walls. Artax has pooped but I can't be sure she ate anything from her bowl. And Falcor is prettier than I expected. She has a nice pale yellow base to her and when she fires up she has some small, thin orangeish-redish stripes down her back. I can't tell if she's eaten either but time will tell!

LOL, forgot to tell you about that...she's also has good hygiene & cleans her brushes off in her water bowl. Glad she's already eating for you.

Since all 3 girls are still young, once they hit about 15g you may start to see their base coloring change. I know Atreyu should develop a more reddish base like her older sister Atilla; I was shocked at how red she got so will be interesting to see Atreyu grow-up.

Yeah I hope to see more intense colors in little Falcor. She gets so pale when she fires down. Almost ghostly! I'll be cleaning them in a week or so and when I do I'll weigh everyone and hopefully get some quick updated pictures up! I really am in love with them already. Such cute little buggers!
