Lygodactylus williamsi throat color difference at young age
Good evening all you L. williamsi enthusiasts!
I have a nice phenomenon going on with different young that have hatched a few weeks ago and I would like you to have a look at your young too if you can. I am aware of the differences between adult males and females in their throat coloration, but did you looked at the coloration of very young animals? For about two weeks I could see that 2 young of the same clutch had a blue/blue-ish coloration on the throat, while two young of another clutch had a yellow coloration. Though I am aware of this being seen on only four young and coloration is highly dependent on the their mood, I am interested to know if others have noticed a similar thing. It is very clear to see and I have tried to set both containers in similar conditions to elliminate confounding factors a little bit. I will try to make pictures, but as you know, they are fast as hell... but mostly very small .
Let me know
