There are a few things you can try.
1.) Lightly misting the gecko then swabbing over it gently with a q-tip.
2.) Increasing the humidity, either in your tank directly or by placing it in to a cricket container (with holes) filled with a moist paper towel for two hours.
3.) Bathing as suggested above, followed by a light q-tip rub down over the area.
Also if you do not have any cork bark in your tank you may want to look into placing some in there as it gives them a nice rough, but not too rough surface to help ease off sheds.
