Default L. williamsi bottom pic (Gender ID?)

So, I finally got a pic of my Dom female's underside...those of you out there experienced with the species, do I have a girl, or a boy?

I don't see any pores. The underside is awfully orange...can't make out any distinct hemipenes, but I'll bow to the experts here.

That's what I thought as well. I just want to be absolutely certain, because this is a very aggressive animal that had to be removed from her group, as she was harassing and nipping both the subordinate female, and the male.

Female
Thumbs up

Looks like a female to me too. Glad that you separated her from the others.

Good to hear--maybe I can find a real jerk of a male to hold his own with her... the one I have now is much too polite. ^_^
I'd hate for her to have to live alone forever. She's extremely healthy, and a very good eater, but she appears to be bored by herself, and doesn't even bother to color up. She was overjoyed yesterday when some mourning geckos moved into the cage next door, and she even thought about displaying at them, but didn't quite go through with it.

I agree, it does look like a female you have there. Good luck on finding a butch male

What size are the geckos; what size is the enclosure; and is the enclose well planted and provides several basking spots? Also did you offer food in a single bowl or did you let it run freely around in the terrarium when they where together?

Maybe as an option you could rearrange your terrarium for the pair, let them settle in good (and grow a bit if they are not fully grown) and then add the last female. Maybe if you are lucky she will not be the dominant female again, or maybe she will be more tolerant.

They're in a 10 gallon tank, planted with 2 bromeliads, a sanseveria, moss, pothos, and some other low-growing plant I got from a garden center (I forget what it was, lol). There's some driftwood and stones. They have a large bamboo stick across the center, some smaller branches, and a large piece of cork bark against the back. There's a mushroom feeding platform on one side.
When the aggressive female was in the cage, I placed a second feed cup on the other end of the cage.

There are a ton of hiding places. Basking areas include the bamboo, the top of the smaller angled stick (the subordinate female usually was stuck with this one), the top of the cork bark, and the mushroom platform.

Most food is offered in the bowls, and some types are just dumped into the cage (fruit flies). The few small dusted crickets I put in quickly escaped the cup, and were picked off in various parts of the cage.

Snapped a quick photo:

The gecko is hanging out at the top on the glass because I haven't put in new food yet today...lol
