I just wanted to share this with the rest of you.

I have wanted to see a gecko egg hatch for quite a while, and this weekend it happened, I was finally there to see it when it happened.

I had one eggs hatch saturday. I had seen a little light grey area on the egg - so thought that might mean it would hatch soon. I wanted to keep an eye on that egg, but soon forgot about it, and when I thought of it again later the same evening the egg was already hatched and the young was not there anymore.

Sunday morning another egg had hatched and I didn't see the hatching itself. but later sunday morning I noticed a third egg had some small cracks in it. so I grabbed my camera and took a bunch of pictures.

Below I attached a few of those. It was quite incredible to see the actual hatching happen. Enjoy.

The hacthling is complely out of the egg only 15 mins after I noticed a small crack in the egg.

Thanks for the congratulations. It really makes your day when a new gecko hatches
All of the four eggs on the pictures hatches and all 4 have been moved away from the parents to prevent any eating incidents.

However I haven't noticed much interest from the adults to these very new hatchlings. Older hatchlings can be quite agressive to the new ones though. I normally move the biggest hatchlings back in with the parents and keep the smallest hatchlings to themselves.
