Default First Baby!

Yesterday was a huge day in the kimhowelli vivarium.

First I awoke from a nap to find my oldest female (Bandit) laid her must recent clutch of eggs.

Later this day when I went to check in the vivarium for the most recent eggs I found a nice surprise! A baby from a previous clutch (one which i thought had been eaten) had hatched out. The little bugger was already in protection mode against its father as I scooped it from the vivarium on a credit card. Sadly there is no sign of its sibling and I found two empty eggs. :/

About an hour after removing the lil bugger from the vivarium I spotted the male already mating with the female who laid eggs earlier in the day.

As the night wore on, I spotted my second female (Ninja) in labor.

I attached a pic of the new lil one. Pardon the quality, I was shaking in excitement while taking the pic. :P

Very cute! The hatchlings and youngsters even look

Have you found the other hatched gekko, or is it still missing?

I have had a few lygo's hatch in the adults viv, and have managed to not find them before up to a week later. So keep an eye out for the sibling too - you might be lucky.

I unfortunately found the other one dead. I will spare the horror story that goes with it. :/

Hahaha agreed. As soon as my male notices the females are without eggs he is after them.
