Default How often to feed insects to Lygos?

Hi folks,

Quick question, I'm new to these lizards so bear with me.

I'm planning obtaining a pair of Lygodactylus williamsi within the next few months, and I've been concocting a feeding regime so I'm prepared.

I intend to feed the usual fruit mixture (possibly mixed with Repashy base mix) plus vitamins, bee pollen and honey 1-2 times a week and perhaps try some low-fat strawberry yoghurt.

My main question is, how often should I offer insects? I was thinking of offering fruit flies once every day and crickets three times a week in place of the fruit flies. And finally, should I put calcium with the insects or with the fruit mixture and if it's the former then how often should I dust the crickets?

Sorry for all the questions, snakes are normally my thing so I'm very new to this supplementation business.

my regime for my breeding lygos is as follows:

Repashy one-part / fruit baby food, bee pollen, vitamin and honey mixture 2x a week on days when i am not feeding insects.

as far as insects go i feed FF or small crickets dusted with Ca / vitamins 3 times per week. I typically add another feeding when the females are laying eggs.

scrap the yogurt

Hi,

Thanks for that, I have scrubbed the yoghurt off the list.
