Default How do people get mourning geckos to live in a colony?

Well, it seems my geckos are determined to thwart my attempts at getting an actual colony of these geckos because they blatently refure to get along! I tried introducing Cumbrae, the younger female, (after she had laid her eggs as I found out she was gravid at the time I planned to introduce them) but to my surprise the younger female really went for her mother, Skye, despite Skye being larger. While Skye wasn't responding agressively, Cumbrae was in all-out battle mode and caused some minor damage to her mum's leg and foot, which did look as if it drew blood, but it was enough for me and I seperated them before any major damage was done.

Am I going to have loads of mourning geckos living seperately? How do others maintain a colony of mourning geckos? I have a younger hatchling too, and I would like her to be able to join one of the others rather than have the three of them living alone!

I have a group of 7 living together. I make sure there is always plenty of food and many hiding/nesting spots. Rarely is there any real aggression. So far just 2 incidents of note, 1 girl chased another for almost 5 minutes, and the other day 2 got into a school yard brawl and broke it up when i came over to see what was going on.

I keep mine in an 18x18x24 exo-terra, so they have lots of space.

I'd try introducing both into a new viv at the same time.
They will need to establish heirachy, so a few scuffles are likely. A well planted viv with loads of hiding places should reduce any conflicts.
The more crowded the viv with furniture, the better they settle, loads of branches and plants.
The last time I revamped my lugubris viv, I removed 72 animals, stunned me!
