Default Anyone working with Nactus pelagicus?

I have had a trio of these guys for a few months now. They are WC and hail from Vanuatu. They were brought in by the company I was working for, and several were sent to a wholesaler in Ontario (chances are if you bought this species in Ontario last year, its from this batch)

Just curious if anyone else is currently keeping these little guys. What your experience with them has been like.

The trio chilling in a bucket while their enclosure is cleaned / eggs removed

VERY nice looking critters there. I hope someone else is working on them. Have you had any luck breeding them yet?

i have had a few eggs, incubated them, sold the babies. before i was a member here.

Incubation was around 100 days if i remember correctly. I have found 2 slugs in the past 6 weeks though... i'm curious if 2 females togther may have something to do with it.

they are noisy little geckos.

the company I was working for had a collection station and export permits in Vanuatu,

and all the necessary jazz for bringing it all into Canada. So to answer your question, I go them at my store here in Vancouver.

Default Nice geckos but,

If I am not mistaken they are parthenogenic. No males necessary here ! Just females, and probably more then one is necessary.. Also, there are other species in this group that are not only parthenogenic but bear their young live ! Go figure that one out .... JERRY

yeah i was aware of the parthenogenic tendancies of this species, but their were males present in the lot of about 75 that came into my store. so i cherry-picked a trio. and these ones are definitely egg layers.
