Smile Are there any Tarentola keepers?!

Hi

I am beginning t discover that I have a rare affliction; a fondness for one of the most over-looked geckos in the hobby. I keep and breed Tarentola mauritanica and T. annularis. I think they are great. I'm loking to expand my collection of these lizards, and want to find some Mindiae or Gigas in the UK, or Europe at a push. Can anyone help?!

Cheers, and it is good to be on the forum!

Well, I keep helmeted geckos, which for a very long time were classified as Geckonia chazalia, but most recent references now group them as Tarentola chazalia. They are one of my favorite gecko species and have done very well for me. I hatched out about 20 - 25 last year.

Well done. Now, if I could just find some this side of the pond . . .Apparently La Ferme Tropicale in Paris has some, but that is the closest I could find!

Default tarentola rock

I keep a few rare species and want to get more tarentola. They are so over looked but I believe that will change once we get more cb animals in the market. Ronnie
