Default Not a crocodile gecko

I found out last night while looking at online pictures that what was sold to me as a crocodile gecko is actually a white spotted gecko. It doesn't bother me as care seems to be about the same, but it makes me wonder what other animals the reptile store mislabels.

These geckos are very alike locking. I saw the crock gecko a few times in croatia, the difference is in the color and size. Hope you get it one day

One of the common names for White Spotted Geckos is Crocodile Gecko, at least over here

This is exactly why it's always preferable to use the latin name as opposed to common names.
