Default E. inunguis

I picked up a pair of Ebenavia inunguis from Hamm on saturday and thought I would share a couple of photos. I haven't taken many photos of them, so they aren't great but I wanted to share them
This is a really different species for me and I hope that I will have some success with them!

I hope to get some better photos soon, including one of their setup. They really seem to enjoy the vivarium I have them in. They are very active and are great fun to watch!

Thanks

They aren't actually flighty at all. They can be a bit fast at times, like the first time I misted them. But apart from that they seem fairly slow and chilled out.
They are really fun to watch though as they seem to be really active during the day.

Thanks Chris me too!
I have heard that some people have found them a bit of a nuisance to get breeding regularly.

They are not particularly difficult to get to breed. I set a trio up in a tall terrarium, about 8 gallons, with a substrate of mixed long fiber sphagnum moss and peat moss with food and live plants and they do just fine. I put in a lay box with damp long fiber sphagnum and they laid two or three times last year. Nothing yet this year, but its early.

Best,

Chuck

I've bought animals who are very healthy, LTC or CB of about one year and a half so I already have females with eggs in the belly, we'll see in a few weeks.
two females are gravid for sure. I keep them alone for the moment to be sure everything is ok, I will put them in small group in a few weeks.

Sounds good, Tristan! I hope you have some eggs soon

I should correct myself... It isn't the breeding that I have heard can be difficult, but getting eggs and successfully incubating them.

Just thought I would share a photo of their vivarium:

I hope to make a few more small alterations to the vivarium over the next few weeks. I will add some leaf litter and maybe a few more pieces of bark and bamboo. At the moment I am watching them and trying to work out what they would appreciate having in their vivarium
