Default What is a Helmet Gecko?

Hi, I have about 35 Helmet geckos and I want you guys to talk to me about them. I'm thinking that they can be set up communally, within reason.

Super awesome and heavily patterned, I will try and post some pictures and a classified ad soon, but for now, what do you think?

I'm not sure I understand the question: are you asking what the maximum population per unit area in an enclosure might be?

I wouldn't recommend putting more than one male in the same enclosure. 35 individuals huh?! You really dove into that project didn't you? lol I have a 3 pairs or so and I keep them all individually, but I know that they can be kept in pairs and that they are being 'farmed'. I'd imagine that these individuals have a very large sectioned off area outdoors where many animals, both males and females live together, but that must be much larger than any enclosure you could offer them.

I dont think that too many males in a unit is good, and will only have one per harem. I would reference the Huddleston experiment if one wanted to doubt communal tanks.

I personally only have about 9, with a reasonable ratio, 3.4.2?
Anyways, I will post another ad for animals from this batch ASAP.

I'm hoping to make some f1 animals come spring perhaps.

Damn man how you gonna start a thread titled what is a helmeted gecko? Say you got about 35 of them, than have nine. Is this some kind of a riddle? For serious though, can you throw up some pictures of them? I'm kind of interested to see the variability of the patterning as a lot of the farmed stuff tends to have more going on than a lot of the cb stuff.

He works for Glades Herps. I think this must be their way of trying to get around having to pay for a classified ad (how cheap can you get). Reminder for folks looking to buy...always check the sellers rep on the Board of Inquiry.
