Default Now I don't Need An Ant Farm...

Within 10 minutes of introducing my new 4 Stenodactylus sthenodactylus into their enclosure, subterranean rooms started appearing...

That's great!! What kind of sand is that? I may be getting a Nephrurus levis levis and they love to burrow. I think this would be the perfect sand for it!

It's a mix of the Exo Terra red sand, and the red and white Repti-Sand, without calcium. Based on a tip from Palor, I thoroughly wet the sand and allowed it to completely dry before introducing the new inhabitants.

Also check out the Sandman in Utah. Jerry Bergosh (877-531-8600) markets Jurassic Playsand in two colors now I think: a reddish orange and maybe white. Jurassic Playsand is quartz-based (smoothe granules in contrast to silica-based pointy granules) sand straight from the Utah deserts. It is very fine grained .
