Default Stenodactylus, but wich ssp?

Hi guys,

Our other steno's are doing great (see other tread), but now we bought new ones and we think they are not steno steno but steno slevini. Can someone confirm that? They definatly look different than our steno steno.

These are 2 pics of one of our steno steno females:

and here 2 pics of one of the other steno's, I think the head is different, especially the nose and the body colour and pattern is different too:

Thanks, Tania

First looks like S. stehnodactylus.
Second looks like doraie but could also be petrii. Hard to tell from the pictures if there is a line running the length of his body. If so petrii, if not doraie.

Default Stenos

The first is S. Sthenodactylus and the 2nd does look like a S. Slevini! The Petrii are a much larger ssps than the other Stenos and have a dorsal line! It depends on where they came from. if they are wild caught from Egypt, then I would say then both are S. Sthenodactylus. S. Sthenodactylus come in both a long and shorter snout type.

Yeah they both look like S. sthenodactylus to me. I have 2.1 S. sthenodactylus. The first looks like my first male, the second looks like my darker phase female. If one isn't S. sthenodactylus, I'd say it's the female. But they both look like sthenodactylus to me.

S.Petrified have a line running dorsally in all of them. No color or pattern variants. These are defininately S. Sthenodacylus. I can put a pic up if needed for comparison. S.petrol are also a good bit larger. A lot of people who have S. Stenodactylus think they have S. Petrii because the importers mislabel!

I would love to see pics for comparison. The little guys I had were no more than 3" long, from tip of nose to tip of tail. I got the identity from a book (??) I may have labled them wrong too.
