So I just got a young Paroedura pictus, and was wondering Cypress mulch is a safe substrate to use. If not, what's better that also looks natural? I don't like the paper towel and newspaper look
Hi Josh and welcome to GU. I use cypress mulch for many of my animals. Although I've never tried it with picta, I don't know why it wouldn't be perfectly suitable for them as well. It's too big for them to ingest and it holds humidity well and it's inexpensive. I think you'd be fine using it.
