Default Paroedura pictus Not Eating

So yesterday I got a quite young (He's about 2 1/2 inches long) Panther Gecko from the Petsmart my wife works at. He had just come in, and he hadn't eaten that day, so this morning I tried to feeding him, and he still won't eat. I have the smallest crickets I could find, and put him in a critter keeper with them for 15 minutes or so, in a dark room. I figured by doing that it would be easier for me to keep track on if he ate or not. But alas, he didn't...so now I'm open to suggestions. I never had a problem getting me leos to eat haha.

He's probably quite stressed. Leave him alone for a few days. Then try feeding him again.

Alright, I will. I was just worried since he's so young, and they're supposed to eat more often. I'll keep you updated

My picta refuses to eat outside of his viv, when he's out at night, drop a cricket in and see if he goes after it. If he does i'd say just let him eat in his enclosure.

You might try some small mealworms in a shallow dish, left in the viv. They won't eat when stressed, and mealworms are much easier to leave in place without worrying about them stressing him further.

i've read the panther geckso arn't supposed to eat mealworms until they're at least 6 months of age. We bought him small crickets and fruit flies.

I'll tell that to the 20 or so hatchlings that ate small ones from day one.
