Default Interested in getting a Paroedura picta

Hi everyone!
i haven't posted much on this forum, although i've been a member for a while. i'm by no means new to reptiles. recently i started looking into these cute little geckos but now that i actually want to take the first steps to getting one (or two) i can't seem to find any for sale

right now i've got a couple extra tanks around, a 10 gallon, a 5 gallon, and a bunch of the kritter keepers, the ones that are long and wide rather than tall... and i've got just about every substrate possible to choose from here.

does anyone have some tips for a new picta owner? something that you wish someone would have told you when you first got them? and does anyone know of any good breeders online? i'm guessing i'll probably just have to wait until the next show here, but it'd would be nice to look.

thanks for your help!

Picta are great geckos for beginners and experienced as well. Very under rated. As for finding some for sale, you can try posting a free "wanted" ad in the classifieds. You might also want to look through the "for sale" classifieds. I believe there was some for sale recently.

they are great little geckos. very fun to watch. The bask light goes off at 8 pm and the red light comes on. they are out and about. During the day if I open the door and drop crix in , they come out and grab them. All ways hungry! I have asked the pet store where I live if they could order them for me and they did. One thing though, they like to climb but they are not very good at it. They may fall and be hurt or killed.
