Now i'm confused. I have 2 fat pictus juveniles. I was sure they were females although they do have a slight bulge. one was mounting the other one and nudging it's neck. Is this normal behavior to establish dominance or do I have a late blooming male?

Post some pics, and we should be able to tell for sure. I do know that when housed together, females will pile on top of each other. A male should have a very prominent square patch at the base of the tail. Some females will be a little bulgy, but typically it more of a triangular shaped bulge.
