Won't eat
It has been weeks since my female pictus has eaten. The vet has done a fecal test, or at least what he could with the available sample of urates, which came up negative. She has had 4 1 ml doses of diluted baytrill, her heat conditions and humidity are fine. I have tried large and small mealworms, waxworks, and dusted crickets. I give her a warm soak daily, and smear a paste of ReptaAid on her mouth and snout which she sometimes licks off.
She has not pooped in weeks, and from what I can tell has not eaten at all. I have noticed a bump above her right leg, on the side of her abdomen a few days ago. She shed last night, and spent today standing in an apparently stressful position--it looked like she was trying either to poop or lay an egg.
I am worried that she is starving herself. I don't know what I can do. She seems to dislike the warm baths, and they have not made her have a bowel movement as the vet thought they might. I'm not sure, if I should continue with these baths at all, and if I should, for how long I should keep her in there in the first place. I have been keeping her in the once-daily bath until the warm water gets cold.
Her eyes are a little sunken in and she is very skinny. She is not lethargic and looks normal on the exterior except for the bump, which the vet did not notice and i noticed a few days ago. I thought i noticed it before then, but concluded that I had been imagining things, since the veg had just seen her. The vet also gave her a shot of vitamins a and d and an injection of fluids on the day of her first dose of Baytrill. The baytrill is administered in alternating triceps every other day.
I don't know what else I can do, and would appreciate advice very
Much.
Thank you
