Default feeding question

Hi, we got a pictus gecko the other night. That's him in the picture. I was wondering how much and how often we're supposed to feed him. I did a search and couldn't find anything on how often we should feed a gecko his size. He's about 3 1/2 inches long and last night he ate about 7-8 small crickets. Is that too much? I read that they eat a lot. Are we supposed to feed him every night or every other night? Dust the crickets every time or just a couple times a week? Thanks!

I feed as often as they ll eat. every other day is fine. My geckos come and stare at me through the glass, and when i open the doors they make a mad rush to me. I feed crix ,dust with calc ,no d3 each time. 2 xs a week dust with vitamins and d3. I indulge my geckos , they are fat and happy and really eat with gusto. They are pretty active so maybe they burn alot of energy. they are always climbing, digging or trying to carry small river rocks up the branches to the magnatural ledges. My boy is pretty lazy though, only comes out to go to the bathroom.I have 2 cages of 6 females each and 1 cage with a male and female that I rotate out.babies are pretty skittish and will hide until they grow up.

Thank you so much for the response. He's so tiny I was afraid we were stuffing him, but I guess he'll stop eating when he's full. I have one more quick question. Twice I have seen him licking his genital area. Is this normal?
