Hallo,
I have many baby pictas and I feed them every day until they are about 2 months old. They are very hungry and need a lot of different food and minerals to grow up.

Most of my Pictas ate the first time a few hours after they hatched out. I feed them with very small crickets, mealworms, Phoenix Worms and Galleria mellonella (I don't know their english name). They most like Galleria mellonella.
You need a very little tank for this little baby pictas, so that the food can not get away and hide. I have them in a cricket-box until I see that they eat.

They do eat alot. And should chase down crix that you would think are too big but they do just fine. I feed very small crix. dusted with vitamins. Be sure and mist daily to be sure it drinks. You will be able to tell if its eating as they leave alot of droppings.

The "white" is urates (urine). But the brown droppings are what you really want to see. It's good that you've seen him eat now though. It can sometimes take a few tries before they actually get around to it. It just depends on the individual animal. I would NOT suggest opening up any more eggs though. It's very rare that a gecko will survive if you don't let them hatch on their own. You got very lucky.
