Default Gecko adoption/purchasing in canada

Hey,

I am pretty new to the Gecko and herp trade but it facinates me to no end. I am at a loss however with my location. I am in Eastern Canada (newfoundland) and the local pet stores here suck a lot. (they only have 1 type of expensive gecko)

What I am looking for is a couple cheap Geckos. I don't know enough about the different species to say which specific type but I am not picky.

I have all the equipment at the moment to house a good few (3 tanks: a 15gallon, 22 gallon and a 35gallon) along with all the substrate/lamps/hides/water dishes. I just can't find any cheaper lizards.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

Steve, place a "wanted" ad in the classifieds ads. We have lots of canadian breeders here. I'm certain that someone can sell you an inexpensive gecko. I would first familiarize yourself with some of the species though and be specific about what you're looking for. There's tons of great geckos out there to start with. But the two most popular are crested geckos and leopard geckos. Maybe start by doing some research on them. Good luck.

As said, place a wanted add after finding a gecko you'd like. Research them and find which would suite you the best or which you find to be the easiest on yourself.
