Default First Giant Ground Gecko (Chondrodactylus angulifer angulifer) Egg

Hi,

I looked in my Giant Ground Gecko (Chondrodactylus angulifer angulifer) cages after work today and found my first egg from them! The egg was laid on the sand and had a bit of sand stuck to it, but for all intents and purposes it looks o.k. The egg is remarkably large for the lizard.

I know this isn't a big thing for the folks in Europe, but I'm super excited about it. I've had both my pairs of Giant Ground Geckos for a few months now and have not seen any courtship activity -- I'm crossing my fingers and hope that the egg is good.

I hope that they will continue to produce for me.

Regards,

Dave

Congrats and good luck with the egg!

My female laid eggs in 16 days intervals,so it is important that she gets enough calcium and vitamins ! I always have a calcium dish in the cage which is used frequently.
