Default bad shed or ??

Just got this little baby last week and all I know is the little I can find on the web. Sold as Bibron's, could be Turners. Don't know, but I'm almost positive when I got her that her tail didn't look like this. Now, I'm not 100%, I got 5 geckos that day and she was just at the last minute, running out the door purchase.

Is her tail normal? (the other one doesn't look like this, you can see him on the left) Is this a bad shed, if so what do I need to do?

and anyone that has more info on these little beauties, would love to know!
thanks

Haha, many types of lizards can let go of their tales in different spots and then regenerate another tail, although the regened tail will not look like the first one it will look that dull grey color usualy with a kind of pattern after it is fully regenerated and that is perfectly normal, its a defense mechanism.

More than likely this happened at the pet store seeing as how it looks like its been growing back for some time.

Hope this Helps.
