Default Chondrodactylus angulifer trio

A rainy day is good for something... I did a photo session for my website of a couple of relatively new species in my collection that I haven't yet had time to photograph. My male angulifer is big and bold and was very photogenic. The 2 females are much more shy. I've wanted to add this species for quite some time and finally bit the bullet this spring and picked up a very nice trio. They'll be put together for breeding any day now.

Here's my male...

Female 1

Female 2

Fingers crossed for babies later this year.

Neither female has actually been with the male yet. When I got them I was told to feed them up good during the quarantine period and then they should be ready to go for breeding. I knew the male was looking a little pudgy, but I was a little surprised when I got the females out for the photo shoot that they were as heavy as they were. I think I may have "fed them up" a little too good.

Gary
My experience with them is that the they can become absolute pigs and start becoming obese quite quickly... to the point that I have to seperate my female from the male to ensure she does not eat every thing and leave nothing for the male.

They my only geckos that never leave any crickets behind!

Nice healthy looking geckos you got there! Best of luck with them
