It's not thread length, otherwise everyone would have the problem. I've tried it, signed in, not signed in, different browsers, you name it. It's got to be your old cache overriding the new settings....

Clearing browser cache should fix that. The old cache is using your previous saved preferences info, overriding the new with the old.
It's a good idea to clear the cache regularly, even every time...
