Hi everyone, I just bought my leopard gecko this last week. I've read a lot about the basic things to know and do. If someone could just fill me in on everything I should know, just to make sure I'm doing it all right. I do have one question, how hot should his tank be and what kind of bulb? It's usually about 70° in my house and I have a 75 wat black light in his cage but I don't think it's warm enough for him. I love my little buddy and I want to know I'm doing everything the best for him. Thank you . 0 Thanks, 0 Likes
use UTH instead of heat lamp 0 Thanks, 0 Likes
I don't know what that is. And how hot is it supposed to be in the cage? 0 Thanks, 0 Likes
UTH = under tank heater, it’s a heat mat/pad. Leopard geckos heat up through their belly’s. It should be about 89degrees Fahrenheit. Just not over 94 i believe. Habistat or zoomed UTH work good i hear. Hope this helps 0 Thanks, 0 Likes
